What styles of medical travel are there to Uruguay and other places in South America?

When you refer to Medical travel, what does it usually involve with? I have been hearing about medical tourism packages for the longest of times now but really can't get a hold of what can you really get upon availing such package? Hope someone can clarify and guide this confused guy here. Please no rude remarks, just needed a good and simple answer on "What is a medical travel?" Thanks.
