| Why is my dog shedding so much? So I have a 9, almost 10, month old boarder collie/husky mix and it seems like he is shedding too much. We have had him for about 2 months now and it started probably a month ago when it really started to heat up here in Ohio. He isn't losing it in random patches, it started on his hind legs and is moving up towards his back. im able to pull hair out in chunks (only from where the shedding hairline seems to be, nowhere else). His hair is already growing back nice and full where he has lost it. I've heard many reasons as to why it could be happening from his hind legs being the spot on his body with the most muscle usage to huskies being a type of dog that sheds a lot and that its because its his first big shed. I'm just wanting some advice from the wonderful yahoo community as to why it could be. Also, he shows no signs of aggression ever and he has no problems with physical activity. I feed all my dogs the exact same food and hes the only one that sheds this much. |
