| Yahoo! Answers: Is dining out expensive in Honolulu? I keep hearing about how expensive the food is in Hawaii. I'll be traveling to Oahu in a few weeks and I want to enjoy Hawaiian cuisine, but I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg. Any tips? Thanks! |

| yes, Hawaiian food is expensive, but it also depends where you are coming from. From the mainland US Hawaii seems extremely expensive, but if you are coming from Europe or Japan, the other two main suppliers of tourists, then the prices will seem rather ordinary. If you really want to experience Hawaiian cuisine cheaply then the best way to do it is to make friends with some locals who will help you dine in the cheapest, best spots. |
